Founding Batch Club

The Founding Batch Club is open. 37 of 40 places left.

$16.99 a jar, locked for life. Free delivery within 20 miles of Ovilla, or within 10 miles of DFW Airport on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Cancel whenever you want.

Most nut butter on the shelf is cut with palm oil, seed oils or sugar. It has to be, to survive months in a warehouse and a truck. Mine isn't, because it doesn't go in a warehouse or a truck. I drive it to your house.

I'm Ed. I make macadamia nut butter by hand in Ovilla, in batches small enough that I know how every one of them turned out. I'm opening forty founding memberships.

Why only forty? Because I make every jar myself, and forty is what I can do properly alongside a full-time job. When they're taken, they're taken until somebody leaves.

“Best macademia nut butter out there.”

Not sure which flavor? Start with the Cinnamon Roll. It outsells the other two combined, and it's the one people come back for.

Or take more than one. Pick as many flavors as you like — each one is $16.99 a month, and they all arrive together.

Join the Founding Batch Club — $16.99/mo

One thing before you click: on the next page, choose your flavor and then select Subscription — $16.99. The one-time option won't work on this product — it's members only. Want more than one flavor? Add the first, then come back and add the next.

The guarantee

Try your first jar. If you don't love it, tell me and I'll refund you in full — and you keep the jar. I'm not going to ask you to mail food back to me. If it isn't for you, I'd rather you had a free jar and gave me an honest opinion than a subscription you quietly resent.

Who this is for

You read ingredient lists. You've been buying the twelve-dollar almond butter and you're bored of it. You'd rather buy food from a person than a warehouse. And you live close enough to Ovilla or DFW Airport that I can drive it to you.

Who this isn't for

If you want the cheapest nut butter, this isn't it. The grocery store wins that one every time. This costs more because macadamias cost more, and because a person is making it instead of a machine.

Just want to try one jar first?

Fair enough. Buy a single jar at $18.99 from the catalog — no commitment. If you like it, the club will still be here, assuming there are places left.

About the person making it

My name is Ed Barros. I live in Ovilla. I make this in my own kitchen, in small batches, and my name is on the jar because if it's bad, that's my problem to fix.

Questions

Can I subscribe to more than one flavor?
Yes, and people do. Each flavor is its own $16.99 subscription, and they arrive together in the same delivery. Add one, then add the next.

Is this really local only?
Yes. Texas cottage food law means I can't ship — I can only sell in person or deliver it myself to Texas residents. That's not a limitation I'm working around. It's the reason it's fresh.

What if I'm outside those delivery areas?
Delivery beyond 20 miles from Ovilla carries a $4.99 fee. Email me at kitchen@edbarros.com and we'll arrange it. If you're elsewhere in Texas we can usually work something out. If you're outside Texas, I genuinely can't sell to you — state law, not preference.

What if I want to skip a month?
Skip it, pause it, or cancel it. No contract, no phone call, and you can do all of it yourself from your account.

How long does a jar last?
Most people finish an 8oz jar in three to four weeks.

Is it really made in a home kitchen?
Yes, and Texas requires me to tell you so. I'm registered under Texas Cottage Food Law, UID #17715.

Made in a home kitchen under Texas Cottage Food Law, not subject to state inspection. Texas Cottage Food UID #17715. Contains tree nuts (macadamia).
